Best vegan burger recipe

  • 300 g chickpea cooked
  • 4 tbsp chickpea flour
  • q.s. rosemary
  • q.s. sage
  • q.s. thyme
  • q.s. salt
  • q.s. pepper
  • q.s. olive oil
  • curry powder (optional)


  • Blend the chickpeas along with fresh herbs, salt and pepper to taste, until you get an homogeneous mixture. If you like it, spice the mixture up by adding some curry powder.
  • Put the chickpea mixture into a large bowl and add the chickpea flour. Knead using your hands and divide into 4 equal parts, then shape them into patties.
  • Heat a nonstick pan with a drizzle of olive oil, cook the chickpea patties on low heat 7-8 minutes each side.
  • Compose your vegan burgers using whole wheat bread, ketchup, green leaves (such as baby spinach or arugula), cooked onion, your delicious homemade chickpea patties and enjoy!


The chickpea patties for your best vegan burger can also be baked at 400°F, lined on a baking tray covered with parchment paper, lightly brushed with oil. Do not skip this step otherwise the patties will dry out, for the same reason bake them for 15 minutes maximum.
The vegan chickpea patties, after cooking and cooling down, can also be frozen to have a healthy ready-made dinner for family and friends!
