Combine flour, cream and butter in a large bowl, knead to obtain a smooth dough then roll it out 1/4 inch thick and fold into 3 equal parts. Roll out the dough again and folds into 4 parts, then let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the filling: cut the apples into pieces, season them with lemon juice. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and set aside.
Take the crust dough out of the fridge, roll it out and fold into 3 equal parts. Let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 360 F and brush lightly with oil a large baking pan. Roll out the crust dough into a thin rectangle, place it half inside the pan and half outside.
Put the strudel filling on the crust that is inside the pan, cover it with the remaining dough.
Fold gently the crust dough to close the strudel edges, brush the surface with milk and bake for 40 minutes.
