Bring the water to a boil. Meanwhile cut the ginger and half the lemon into slices.
Turm the heat off and add the lemon and ginger slices and turmeric.
Let steep for 15 minutes then strain. Add the remaining lemon juice, the honey or agave syrup if using and serve.
Note
The ginger lemon water can also be enjoyed at room temperature or cold after a rest in the fridge, just keep in mind that you must drink it the same day you prepare it to avoid losing the benefits of its ingredients.
